I know this has probably been asked and/or argued about 3 million times, but I have been doing my gaming on a PC for so many years that the console world is a bit of a mystery to me again. I'm pretty much a Gameboy and Megadrive generation person
The main reason I want to buy a console is my 4 and a half year old daughter. I want something she can use to play dancing/singing games and the like, and that has plenty of children oriented games. My understanding is the Wii fits the bill.
But the gamer in me says, if something like a PS3 or xbox 360 is less dated, and it will also have something for mum and dad, then I dont mind spending more.
However, if I go for a PS3, will it mean I'll struggle to find the right games/accesories for a 4/5 year old? I know all the marketting for the PS3 is directed at a more adult user, but never mind that if at the end of the day all those dancy games for kids are being released for all the consoles anyway. Or are they?
Any media centre / blu-ray playing capabilities can be ignored here because I already have a media centre PC.
