Which Cooler for E6400 Core Duo 2

Hi have just received my E6400 Core Duo 2 and Gigabyte DS3 board. I am looking for a cooler now because the one that came with the Processor is awful.

I did not put any thermal paste on the Chip becuase it looked like the fan already had some on. Should I apply some ?

My Idle Temp is 40c and when I try overclocking a bit I get temps of 55c to 60c when running Orthos.

So I need reccomendation for which cooler would let me get this Chip up to 3ghz +

Yea it comes pre-applied with thermal paste.

Take a look at the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro.

Don't, they are loud and don't cool very well. If you want to spend that amount get the Scythe Ninja Rev.B, Tuniq Tower or Freezer 7 Pro.

I did'nt want to spend that much, thought it was a good deal.

Will just go for the Freezer 7 Pro then.
