Im thinking about changing my order from a Scythe Mini Ninja CPU to Thermaltake BigTyp 120 - im pretty sure both will fit in my case - but i was just wondering if anyone knew which one was better.

the first one is out off stock another is the revision B off the first one, good cooler,
looks better in that U can point the fan connected to the heatsink towards the back off the case, does your case have an 120 mm fan sucking air out the back , which would double up on taking air out off your case, and help remove that hot air from your cpu cooler.

the second one not really as this would suck air towards the cooler and still leave it in the case..

I think it's swings and aroundabouts really, I have the thermaltake. It's very quiet and keeps the temps down, but tends to work better if it has a air vent near the fan.

I can't comment on the Sythe as I've never used it. Just check out some review to see which you think you'll prefer.

The Thermatake looks beefer, although the base isn't mirror finish like the Sythe heatsinks.

I must say that my thermaltakes aren't the VX revB models but the standard ones where fan speed is always silent/low. I've heard the revised models have fans that are different. May want to check out some reviews before making a decision.

Also, you can get the thermaltake original models for cheaper if you shop around.

Well i have a Zalman 160+ case - and the thermaltake will have a vent directly above it to it 'should' be able to pull in cold air, or put hot air out.

Heres an image of the case and its cooling:

Tuniq Tower 120 CPU Cooler (Socket 478/754/939/940/AM2/LGA775)

PS noticed that's the cooler I have already with my Pentium D :-)
H2009 yes that is what I'am getting at in my statement, Did you repaint that PSU ?

Tuniq tower doesnt fit in that case :( i've only got a 125mm of room or so - and im guessing thats the best cooler i can get in that space.

hehe no worries - that picture is actually from the zalman webpage - im not that skillful at photoshop :) But the PSU is black anyway.

The over all setup i have is no louder than 20db's. Love it!
