Which CPU cooler for silent ?

looking to replace a CPU cooler which sounds like there tornado is in the room with something more silent

Q6600 on a striker extreme motherboard ?

I use Arctic i30's on 3 of my computers here. They won't give the best cooling due to 1350rpm pwm fan, however it's still better then any of the smaller or stock coolers. Sound wise any operation below around 700rpm you should not hear them outside of case. For idle / general usage the fan should only be around this level in PWM mode, meaning they are effectively silent then.

Hi Paul, I found this page from hardware secrets, it's second quietest out of 30 CPU coolers, yet performers mid range when it comes to cooling.
