I have started my build, just waiting for next payday to buy the Intel Core i5-4690K 3.50GHz (Devil's Canyon) Socket LGA1150 Processor and a suitable cooler and its finished, i was quite liking the look of the corsair hydro series cpu coolers, im thinking about overclocking a bit, but not sure if like likes of a h75i or h60 would be able to keep the cpu cool??

this build is in a zalman z11 plus case if that helps

I use a H80i with my 3.5Ghz 4690k running at 4.2Ghz so maybe not a massive overclock compared to some but the temps are great even with a long session of gaming.

Got it in a Antec300 case with two 120mm front intakes a single 140mm top exhaust and the H80i rad and fans as push pull exhaust at the rear.

And its nearly silent I can never hear it over the case fans.

I liked it so much I bought the wife one for her AMD system and it has made that nearly silent as well.

I have a well ventilated case the Corsair 450D.

With the following build below.

i5 4690, Corsair H60, Gigabyte Z97X, Kingston Hyper X 2400Mhz, 256 SK Hynix SSD, MSI GTX 970, 850W Superflower PSU.

I went with the H60 over the H100i due to roughly around £35/40 saving at the time. Whilst the H60 does a fantastic job at keeping my CPU which is at stock speeds bare in mind. Idles in the low 20s, whilst gaming for over an hour with games such as BF4, Far Cry 4, Crysis 3 my CPU keeps Low/mid 40s and even when using Intel Burn it stays 48/49c with an ambient temp of roughly 20/22c. The fan speeds don't even reach max RPM. Therefore plenty of room for OC based on the temps at stock.

Although since I have a case which has room at the top for the H100i etc, sort of wish I went for a larger AIO which eventually when I decide to OC I will go for. But if budget is tight, you shouldn't have problems with achieving a modest OC with the H60.

Performs better than the Corsair H100i and is cheaper FYI.

thanks for the reples, quite like the look of the nepton, but not sure if it will fit a zalman z11 plus, noticed a few people struggling for room in them
