Which CPU fan?

Hello All,

I would like to know what fan people would recommend to get for a Intel® Core™2 Quad Processor Q6600 cpu.

I am after a very quiet one.

Do you mean a CPU cooler or just a fan to replace the stock fan?

Are you overclocking? Would you like to? Your budget is?

I am after a cooler for the cpu, I am not overclocking, and am mainily using the pc for games, movies and programming.

I have upto 100 pounds available for this, but if you can supply with some choices it would be good.

you don't need £100 to spend on a cooler for a 4 year old processor,

Just buy a H50 and an Apache or Viper fan

There's a massive selection of HSF for your CPU that cost a fraction of £100. Just get something with either 1 or 2 120mm fan capability.

If you aren't overclocking then you probably don't even need this good a cooler.

more than up to quietly cooling a q6600 at stock speeds
