Which CPU for this build?

I’m thinking of getting a ‘Gigabyte GA-MA78GM’ what processor would you recommend in order to fully utilise a 4850 or perhaps a 4870 graphics card?

I got one of the boards for my dad as a HTPC and am very impressed with it (that’s silent with a 45w 4850E CPU), I might build myself the same although I’d like the option to run games at least as well as my current set up (if not better) @ 1080p - set up in sig

Will both keep up with a 48** or should i keep the GTS 512?
