which cpu intel or amd

Hi all

I need a new cpu to go with my new graphics card amd 7950 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-065-HS&tool=3
I mainly play MMo's like rift world of tanks, terra that sort of thing.

I've done a lot of reading and everything points towards Intel either I5 or I7 k series chip... some reason I still warm to the AMD 8350 but everything I have read says I5,I7 but my heart is saying AMD 8350.

My current cpu is AMD phenom x6 1055t clocked to 3.5.

Would appreciate any help as pulling my hair out trying to decide.

My mobo atm is an gigabyte GA-MA74GMT-S2 says AM3 so dont think it supports the new FX chips.

I agree would be nice to see some benchmarks done with MMO's in mind, than the normal fps type benchmarks.

Would very much like something that's going to last me another 2 years.

World o tanks runs at max settings 1920/1200 at minimum 40FPS on Phenom II 960T
The thing is get the first cpu core as high as possible

That CPU has 3Ghz x4
Got it at
Core 0 3.8Ghz
Core 1 3.0Ghz
Core 2 2.6Ghz
Core 3 2.6Ghz
And that got me a world of in game performance

Not sure what you mean buy getting your first cpu core high as possible, could you please explain thanks.
