I am in a bit of a quandry. I can't decide which CPU to get! I have these in mind:

San Diego 3700

3800+x2

Can someone please advise which to go for? I wan to overclock whichever i get. I have got the Motherboard that supports AGP and PCI-E (Asrock) Thanks.

The Sandy will be quicker for games atm, but IMO the 3800 X2 would be the one i'd buy cos it's the newer technology and should give you longer between future upgrades.

Both chips should clock well, so it just depends how often you want to upgrade.

I have the same Asrock board and have got a X2 3800+, this board will limit the overclocking as you can't put any more than 1.4V into the cpu.

I would go dual core as it is more future proof. If your gaming it will be the same speed as a single core cpu but more games will be made in the future to work better with dual core.
I'd get the oem x2 3800+ and a AC freezer 64 pro and it should overclock to around 2.6ghz.
