I am currently building a computer mainly for photography. I will be running PhotoShop and lightroom mainly. Using Vista Home x64.

My questionis will the E8400 LGA775 'Wolfdale' 3.00GHz or the Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR 95W Edition" 2.40GHz be the best CPU to go for. Which motherboard should I go with?

I do not plan to overclock.
