Is there much difference between the Ek supreme ltx, ek supremacy and the raystorm? Is the nickel one better? Or is it just the colour?
If so what sort of temperature difference are we talking between them all?

Koolance 380
EK Supremacy
XSPC Raystorm

That's the order they rank in block benchmarks, but either one is great and they represent the top three and are so close it's not worth paying any attention to it, there's like a degree or less difference depending on the test. Just pick the one you prefer the look of.

Nickel plate is just for looks, doesn't make it perform any difference.

The supremacy is supposed to be less restrictive while being better at cooling than the supreme. How much better would depend on your loop and components, but to be honest watercooling is an expensive plunge and cheaping out on a block is not the way to go about it, so if iw ere you i would grab one of the blocks int he above post. The supremacy also comes with the original way EK mounted CPU blocks, while the supreme no longer does and its mounting holes on the block is built into the plexi top (which imo looks a little cheap).

I think out of the three of them, the supremacy is the only one which comes with a mounting system which can be changed to suit any socket, while the other two are bought either with AMD or intel compatibility (you may not be looking for an upgrade now, but its worth future proofing). Also worth noting that block top spares can be ordered from EK for fairly cheap (something like a tenner) if you decide you want a new look or want to replace a cracked block.

Thanks both for the advice, the Supremecy seems to be the winner for me as I'm after intel and AMD.
So I'm guessing the clean is just looks as well then like the Nickel and the normal?

The XSPC Raystorm is a good block with a huge amount of copper, that comes with the required parts for intel and amd.

I've used Phobya blocks for years now - they rank high up in terms of cooling performance and are usually cheaper than the competition.

Actually, I use Phobya pumps and rads too, so maybe I am a bit bias :D
