Which CPU would be ideal for me?

I have the choice of purchasing either the:

Athlon 64 4000+

or

Athlon x2 3800+


I use my computer for gaming (C & Q, Farcry, cod2 etc)
During normal usage I usually run programs at the same time (eg 7 FF windows, 1 wmp windows, msn messenger)

Price isnt really a problem. I just cant decide which of the 2 cpus I should purchase. I would ideally like this cpu do last 12months into the future.

So what would you guys choose?

X2 3800 + overclock is what I'd go for.

Tut tut, you should be using tabs in Firefox!
