Now I have sat here a new un-opened E8600 Q822A566..
I have in my system a Q9450 C1 .
This shuttle seems to refuse to go above 400 FSB, but running at 375 x 8 atm as it seems to crash out when playing Farcry 2 at 400 ??
Passes 8 hours of prime95 at 400 FSB
I don't know if it's the chip or mobo for definate which is limiting it.
Have tried lowering memory FSB and tried different memory, so tha kinda rules out the memory ?
Are all E8600 E0 steppings ?
I spend 80% of my time gaming, COD4, FC2, Crysis and so-on.
So if this E8600 will go to 400 FSB it will be a nice overclock.
The big question is shall I swap it ?
Is it worth the extra FSB on a Dual Core or
Don't really want to open it quite yet, as it will be easier to sell as un-opened.
