To help me along my way of building a new system ASAP...

Im currently planning on getting an E8400, Would I see better performance on an AMD chip around this price? Ive always sworn by AMD but having recently picked up a core2 laptop I'm budging towards Intel.

So at the current state of things whats gonna get me more performance for my money.. (PC will be used for Gaming, Photoshop and surfing)

Dont really want to spend anymore than 140£ on a CPU.
