Which CPU?

Or

AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition 3.20GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail + Colin McRae Dirt 2 Full Game [HDZ955FBGIBOX]

Which one and why?

I have this motherboard:

Asus M4A785TD-M Evo AMD 785G (Socket AM3) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard [90-MIBAD0-G0EAY00Z]

Not sure if the Asus can unlock the other two cores on the 550, if it can, you may want to take the 50/50 chance of saving some cash and getting the 550 and attempting to unlock the other two cores so you have a quad core, but if you want to play it safe, get the 955.

Can the motherboard i got help try to unlock the 550? (I know the 550 may not be able to)
