Which cpu?

I think the higher turbo will compensate for the better IPC of the 4430, plus if you do overclock it will certainly pull ahead, should be able to push it up to 4.2GHz+ easily enough even on the stock cooler.

It would be slower by upwards of 20% in multithreaded scenarios. It has lower cache and is overall mid level cpu imho. Im sure there will be some games like Starcraft 2 where it may be equal or perhaps pull ahead but according to the info i could find on a quick google search its even slower than the 3570k in overall performance and the 3570k has been trading blows with the fx-8350 in a lot of game benchmarks.

Im not sure how accurate this info i have found is but you can take a look for yourself. Perhaps someone else can either verify or deny with proofs.

EDIT: Found another review site that claims they are equal in both Hitman and Tomb Raider. What it looks like is gaming wise they are going to match eachother out, atleast if you were to believe this review.
