Hi, i can't decide which RAM to get for my PC and i am not 100% sure if my PC will support the new RAM which i am getting. So i was wondering if you guys could help me :).

i got a lenovo PC about 4 years ago and have upgraded the RAM from 512Mb to 2x1Gb 800Mhz and i am hoping to upgrade to 2x2Gb 800Mhz, but lenovo have not stated what motherboard the PC has and i have tried nearly every program to identify the motherboard but it always comes up just saying LENOVO LENOVO . Here are the details of my lenovo pc.

According to Belarc:
LENOVO 898074G ThinkCentre A62
System Serial Number: LMLRT6W
Enclosure Type: Mini-Tower

According to Crucial System Scanner:
Lenovo ThinkCentre A53 Series Type 8980

and here are some screenshots from CPUz to try and help you guys to see if the new RAM will run on my PC:

According to the crucial memory scanner "Each memory slot can hold DDR2 PC2-5300,DDR2 PC2-6400 with a maximum of 2GB per slot.* i can support dual channel."

So to sum up i am looking to upgrade to 2x2Gb 800Mhz for less than 40 pounds. I currently use my PC for gaming e.g. crysis, COD 4 and call of juraez and i also watch a few blu ray films on my pc and just general use of the internet etc.

My operating system is windows 7 64 bit RC.

I am currently looking at the following RAM:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-136-CS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=813

Which one out those three is the best for my PC?

and also i am not going to be overclocking anything.

Thanks very much in advance

thanks for the reply kenny.

Will i notice a big difference in the performance of my pc for general use, plus gaming? Here is a screen shot of the task manager showing the physical memory:

here is another screen shot showing better results:

btw i am only running comodo firewall, peerguardian 2, NOD32 antivirus, ATI and google chrome.

Yeah you should see a noticable overall increase in performance, W7 will run a fair bit more smoothly and games will take full advantage of the 4gig ;)

ohh Ps, your sig is too big :p

got the RAM today, put it in and whenever i turn the power supply back on the, CPU fan stays on full power (does it max reps per second) and does not turn off and i cant turn the PC on with the new RAM but it works with the old RAM. Would this be due to the voltage that the RAM requires?

tried resetting cmos, but no luck, i have the jumper thing and i turned pc off, put new ram in and put the jumper on the pins 2,3 to reset and turned pc on, heard the beep noise, left for a min and turned off and return the jumper to pins 1,2 and still doesnt start up, nothing on the monitor and just the CPU fan roaring. and i have tried the jumper even when the pc was off

there are no settings at all to do with RAM cause of it being an oem motherboard. cant change any of the voltages or the bus speed

Is there a battery on the motherboard that you can see.?

like this one

with the new ram installed, take that out for 1/2mins pop it back in and see if you can get into the bios with the new ram.

yeah tried that as well but no luck. Could it be the voltage at all? cause according to cpuz the old ram sticks run at 1.8V where as the new ones run at 1.9V according to kingston and overclockers and dell says that they run at 2V
