Which DDR3 RAM do i need? and how do i downclock?

Hi there

I have a Gigabyte g41m-combo motherboard with 4gb DDR2 RAM installed, i am looking to upgrade to 8gb DDR3 but which type do i have to go for. do i go for the 10666, 12800 or 14400+

If possible can you also give me an example.

you can get any DDR3 that supports 1.5 Volts which is nearly all

even with higher frequency it will downclock no problem

Sorry to bump this thread again, but how would i downclock the RAM? or does this happen automatically?

The motherboard will run the ram at lowest setting as default (most of the time)
