Right, for a few days now my PC has been without any RAM. I have now been gifted ~£200 to spend on RAM (and RAM alone).

My build is as below:
i7 920 @ 4.2
Gigabyte EX-58-UD5
64GB SSD
2x500GB WD CB (in RAID)

Given that my processor is overclocked (and I would like to keep it this way) what RAM would you recommend for about £200. I was looking at The G.Skill Trident 2000MHz (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-039-GS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1392)
Is this descent RAM or should I be putting my money towards a Corsair 1600MHz kit?

Do you need to spend all the £200 on RAM? If I were you i'd go for this stuff and spend the remaining £80 on beer.

Compared to the RAM you linked to, the performance difference will be tiny.

Haha, no I don't need to spend all the £200. But it's supposed to be a gift and I don't think they'd take to kindly to me speding 40% of it on beer.
The money I don't spend I'm not ever going to see so I might aswell spend as much of it as I can!

Lol, thats fair enough. In that case, get the nicest looking kit for under £200 - this seems to be Gskill kit you picked.

You could also send a webnote to OCUK and ask when this stuff will be coming back in, it is marginally faster than the Trident.

Hmm, ok. I might do that. Although I would prefer the RAM sooner rather than later so I guess it depends on how long it takes for things to get back in stock.
