Hey all,

As the title says can anyone suggest a good defragging tool?
I'm currently using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 if that makes any kind of difference.

Thanks in advance

I used to use Diskeeper when I was on XP but since I installed Win 7 I've always found that the one that comes with it works just fine.

I use PerfectDisk 11 it's quick, easy to use and has loads of features, that's if you want to pay for it, personally it's great, but i'm sure people will hate me for using it.:D

Agree, along with these other weekly questions

Win 7:

Which AV - MSE
Which defrag - build in Win 7 defrag
Can I disable swap file - why would you want to?
32 bit or 64 bit? - doh!
Is it better than XP - yes
Vista or Win 7 - Win 7 if you have the cash.
Will X program work with Win 7 - more than likely

Given the resources of even an average PC these days, a perfectly defragged HDD is a tiny, tiny optimization. There is also zero benefit to a defrag once there are no fragments below a certain size. Stuff like defraggler that tracks down and joins up every last bit is just wasting time, and wearing out your HDD faster for zero gain.

Paying for a defrag program is just utterly stupid.
