Which dfi xfire mobo

have read a dfi.street forum thread 61 pages loooooooooong
reading about cfx3200 makes me wonder why i got it
should i have got older dfi xfire, would it have less probs
have few questions for those who have or had the cfx3200 mobo
any
installed one ide drive and 1 sata drive
windows on ide
first had probs with 4 x512 of ram ,wouldn't boot, will boot with 3 x512 if i disable command per clock in bios
so only have 2 x 512 for now
installed lan maxwell drivers and directx 9c off dfi cd and rebooted, then installed uli drivers off cd and system wouldn't boot, took me several reformat to get windows to work in cosmo resetting
here where im at
windows hangs foe several mins before booting into windows ,if it does, let windows install its own drivers for controllers
what can i do
here are some choices
my bios is 25/04/06
could update to 27/08/06
install nvidia uli 2.2o drivers
or not
could install install 27/08/06 and leave as is
enable smart
install 7.20
or use floppy, even do i dont have folppy
all i want is to use 2 ide drives and maybe 2 sata drives
what best options for me
cheers

no, it was worse - read the HardOCP review for a laugh ....

but yes, download the latest BIOS for the CFX3200 as it supposedly fixed virtually all the problems that users had been complaining about for months & months.

LANPARTY UT CFX3200-DR/G defo.. with latest BIOS

I once had the rdx200 and had nothing but problems, Plus i belive the CFX3200 supports dual 16x Pci-e lanes in crossfire and sata2 .. The RDX200 does not...

Have you tried all sticks by them selfs as you may have a bad stick or even a bad slot on the mobo if they all fail in the same slot.

And yes they are hard work but the results im getting are great :D
