Which display/screen for a 1070 GTX laptop?

Hey guys, I've been patiently waiting for the new GPU laptops to surface and I'm in a real pickle on what new laptop to buy.

I have around £2k to spend, I can push a little bit higher for the perfect one.

I have my spec'd locked down, it's just the display I'm struggling with.

1080p or 4k? or maybe even 3k? Should I be looking at a 120hz display?

I'm looking at a 15.6" laptop and it seems I have all above options available, I just don't know what to plump for. I would rather get a 3/4k display and drop the res down if needed than get a 1080p display and be stuck with it

Anyone have any experiences with different displays?

Thanks for the replies guys, really good info here. The last GPU I had was a 780 GTX so I need to read up on G-SYNC. would i still need to look at a 120hz panel if it has G-SYNC?

There seems to be more options for 120hz on the 1060 than anything else.
