Please only post if you actually use one.

I don't think my 6 inch angle grinder will do the more intricate work so i'm in the market for a new dremel but which one?????

Will be used for obviously cutting and grinding metals and plastics will also probably use it for polishing metal too.

I've seen one with some fancy flexi handle thing but i'm not sure if i need one so expensive as the prices range from £30 to £100+

Dremel 300 works fine for me, if you're cutting get a dremel cutting set as well, because you'll burn through quite a few cutting discs.

What I use with no issue, and the Dremel can be used for prolonged periods compared some of the shorter times.

+1 for the Dremel 300, and another +1 for a set of cut off disks, I got a 300 for christmas and set straight to work chopping my case up, went through 4 discs in a matter of hours.

Looks like it's the 300 then lots of recommendations for it.

Do any of you know if you can get an edge de-burrer for the dremel i tried google but no joy for some reason. they look like 2 cones stacked point to point with a curve in the middle and you run it round metal edges to round them off. I used to have access to one at my old job but can't get hold of it now.

Dremel 300 has been fine for me. I had a £15 B&Q own brand job before this and it broke by shearing the spring in the shaft, probably fatigue, so beware the cheap ones.

I've got a 300 with the flexi attachment. It brilliant and the flexi head is great for the really fiddly jobs when you cant quite get the body of the dremel in.

Also, if cutting do yourself a favour and get yourself a speedclick head and the appropriate discs. They're a bit more pricey but are fibre re-inforced to don't shatter as often and the faff you save yourself with speed loading is a god-send.
