Currently looking into buying a dremel for case mods etc, im looking at the 300 series, multi and the 10.8v.

Realistically the cordless one would be ideal, but has anyone used this and find its still the same quality as a cord version?

I looked into the Cordless version and apparently it suffers from not-a-lot-of-power syndrome.
I got the Dremel 400 Digital instead. I have a mini review on my website if you are interested.
Theres a few different versions which differ only in the accessories you receive with it. I got a race car model kit with mine.

Ah thats great thanks, answers most of my questions, after seeing your review would love to get the 400 model, but money's abit tight atm ><

Ill keep looking around for a decent 300 series set, would you say the flexi shaft is needed, or just a great help?

I have a skil 1415 rotary tool. It does exactly what a dremel does only a lot cheaper it also includes the flexi shaft attatchment. honestly its good

This is what you want to perfect your case mods.

But in seriousness, i think my dremel is one of the cheaper ones, cant remember its name but its in a black box with a blue labe, Craft, or something.

Didnt cost too much but it certainly does the trick, no need to splash out

Well reason i want a decent one is, ive already tried a cheaper one, it barely works, maybe i bought the wrong one but either way i want something i know is good and will last.

I've got the Dremel 300, came as a kit with the flexi-shaft and some attachments, but tbh I bought other attachments anyway as the kits just include the basic stuff. It's been great so far but have only used the flex-shaft for glass engraving as the tool was just a bit too heavy for delicate work. Done some perspex etching with the tool and some metal cutting for case mods and it's a great tool. Some people say that they go through cutting disks like mad when doing case mods but if used properly they're a doddle - see these youtube vids for some good tips Part 1 and Part 2.

i got a dremmel 300 kits with flexishaft...after the home brand one from B+Q blew up literary!! in about 10mins

Yer i saw the skil one on amazon, seems ok and has good reviews, I'd rather pay a little extra so i know it will work. + the warranty :)

Ive decided to go with the 300 + flexishaft + with 40 bits inc..

And also lego!

£39.99 with free p&p on amazon atm, reduced from £59.99

(Is amazon a competitor?)

yes they are they sell pc parts.

I have a cordless and this one myself the wired one is so much more powerful I will never go back to cordless one which the battery life on it is awful.
