Which Drum Kit

Any drummers here?

My Son who is 12 suddenly decided he would like to play drums, thinking it would be a passing phase I said yer ok and let him have lessons at school, anyway fair play he stuck to it and is now getting pretty good, he wants a drum kit for xmas I said no to a normal kit but yes to electric drum kit any recommendations, also a amp to use with it from time to time :tup:

I have a Roland drums kit TD6-KX

It will help their timing as they can play it more regularly, help with their chops etc.. it won't get them offers to go gigging.. but in the end they'll need proper drum time to pick up the differences.

I play a range - from James Brown (cold sweat etc) to Kill Switch engage (Absolution is a favourite ).

The Roland V-drums are great, I've owned a td-8 twice! Really regretted selling my first about 5 years ago, but bought another about 6 months ago. They hold their value seriously well too.
