Which one is better and why ? - for overclocking potential

Core stepping - E0
45nm
Bus speed - 1333MHz FSB
12MB Cache

VS

Retail version
Q6600 Energy Efficient 95W Edition @ 2.40GHZ
Core stepping - G0
65nm
Bus speed - 1066MHz FSB
6MB Cache
 
I cannot afford to upgrade the motherboard, memory and cpu for i7 setup. I am looking at a long term solution on my current setup.

I brought the q9550 from overclockers.
I am very pleased to say that it is a E0 stepping :D

I have no overclocking knowledge and managed to reach 3.6 ghz stable with ease. I hope to reach 3.8/4 hopefully.
