I have a lot of games on my steam wishlist...i can now afford (ie i can afford the time...money isnt a problem) to buy 2 or 3 (£40 ish) of them...most of them are early access type games which i normally dont like (i prefer to wait until the game is finished rather than paying the developer to bugtest :p )

Out of this list which 2 would you get?

1. Divinity Original Sin (eta finish June 20th)
2. Wasteland 2 (eta finish August 2014)
3. Space Engineers
4. Banished
5. Planetary Annihilation
6. Shadowrun Returns (and dragonfall)
7. Starbound
8. Blackguards
9. Expeditions Conquistador

(retail game additions)
10. Splinter Cell Blacklist
11. Murdered Soul Suspect
12. Thief

Not included Elite or Star citizen because want to wait until i have my new rig and until they are completely finished.

I'd forget that and play the games in your steam library that you haven't got round to yet... if you're like many of us :p

all depends on what your interested in.
I've : Planetary Annihilation and been enjoying it quite a lot, althought i dont do the on muliplay online at the moment

Only ones i haven't played are sleeping dogs and hitman absolution....not counting the rubbish games i bought ofc :D

Emo Hug does Planetary Annihilation feel close to finished? buggy? lots to do?

Well play Hitman and Sleeping Dogs :p I hear both are very good.

I have been trying to clean up my STEAM library and finish off the games I have. Most are HIB indie games which I'm not really into, but oh well. I tried 2 games (Poker Night in the Inventory and Thomas Was Alone). They ain't games which will keep you for hours, but they are fun to kill 30 minutes or so.

I have this 'obsession' that I need to get all achievement to finish a game, so I started Thomas Was Alone on that basis.

finished? i think a better way of putting it it is an a good state to play, and they've just added the galactic war option which adds a fair amount of reply.
i dont think it is particularly buggy to be honest, its been fairly consistent.

lots to do : mmm on this i'd probably say no not in the traditional sence. a lot of it is rinse repeat you could say. but it will or can keep you on your toes as you have to manage a lot of views and information

out of your list PA is the only one i've played so a bit biast :)

i guess i want someone to say DOS or Wasteland2 is truly Epic and i should be smashing down the developers doors to give them money for it. :D

Wasteland will be totally epic, but it is only a few months til release. It would be a shame if your first impression of it was in early Access without all of the features.

As someone who had no interest in it, and wasn't looking forward to it (sat in my library for at least 6 months after picking it up cheap), play sleeping dogs. Once I started I ended up 100% it, and buying some of the story based dlc.

As a general comment I'd recommend not buying any early access games. I just personally think its a bad precedent that Steams selling unfinished games with no guarantee of them ever being finished.

^ That. Unless you're desperate to play something in a half finished state (and tbh the only games I'm excited enough to consider the prospect are also the ones that I'm happy to wait for finished versions of) there's no winning with early access.

They finish it and it's good - You can still buy it and didn't burn yourself out on the game in a half finished state.
They finish it and it's crap - You dodged the bullet
They don't finish it at all - Again you dodged the bullet

Definitely play sleeping dogs, really good game.
This. Absolutely excellent game and looks great too.

I am currently resisting the urge to buy my first Early Access title (The Forest) and am slowly working my way through the unplayed games in my library. Returning to the pile of boredom that was Bioshock Inf is next!

4. Banished is finnished a good game if you like city builder types.

Best early access I think are

1. Kerbal space program
2. Spacebase DF-9
3. Project Zomboid
4. Prison architect

I am the same with Elite and SC I will wait until finnished. ;)

Anyone tried The Stomping Land?

Right now, it's pretty bad. Takes about 30mins to an hour to do everything available to you. Combat is really poor, it's all just 1 shotting people. Riding a dinosaur gets old in about 2 minutes. Oh and if you get disconnected, any progress you've made is wiped immediately.

My recommendation is Prison Architect. More than playable, very very good.

tried sleeping dogs...graphics look great...the combat seems fun too....only problem i had after about 10 minutes...my graphics card driver crashed (and recovered successfully) so the game crashed.... some games are just too demanding for my laptop (which is on the way out anyway)....regularly hits temps of around 80 - 90 deg on full load Time to get a new rig.

1. Kerbal Space Program
2. Space Engineers

Because I like space games.
And especially KSP as its laptop friendly and highly modable + and replayable.

Going OT here, but I started replaying it last night and the exact same thing happened...on my watercooled rig though. Never had a driver crash before!
