Hi,

I am due to be getting a S1200KP mITX Intel server board soon which supports ECC ram.

The board has two DIMM sockets and supports the following memory features:
1.5 V DDR3 DRAM DIMMs with gold plated contacts.
Two independent memory channels with interleaved mode support
Unbuffered, single-sided or double-sided DIMMs with the following restriction:
Double-sided DIMMs with x16 organization are not supported.
16 GB maximum total system memory (with 4 Gb memory technology).
Minimum recommended total system memory: 512 MB
ECC and Non-ECC DIMMs
Serial Presence Detect
DDR3 1333 MHz and DDR3 1066 MHz DRAM DIMMs

NOTE:
1. To be fully compliant with all applicable DDR DRAM memory specifications, the board
should be populated with DIMMs that support the Serial Presence Detect (SPD) data
structure. This allows the BIOS to read the SPD data and program the chipset to accurately
configure memory settings for optimum performance. If non-SPD memory is installed, the
BIOS will attempt to correctly configure the memory settings, but performance and reliability
may be impacted or the DIMMs may not function under the determined frequency.

I have looked at the Kingston memory list and there are stacks of ECC ram and I really am at a loss to know which are within the specs.

I have confirmation that KVR1333D3E9S/2G and KVR1333D3E9S/4G have the spd criteria but not sure about the x16 config.

Any compatible memory for Kingston, Corsair, Crucial, G.Skill or Team would be good.

Thanks
RB

According to Kingston's own site these are compatible:-

KVR1333D3S8E9S/2GEC 2GB 1333MHz DDR3 ECC CL9
KVR1333D3E9S/4GEC 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 ECC CL9
KVR1333D3E9S/4GHB 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 ECC CL9

KVR1066D3E7S/4G 4GB 1066MHz DDR3 ECC CL7
KVR1333D3S8E9S/2G 2GB 1333MHz DDR3 ECC CL9
KVR1333D3E9S/4G 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 ECC CL9
KVR1333D3E9S/8G 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 ECC CL9
KVR1333D3S8E9SK2/4G 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 ECC CL9
KVR1333D3E9SK2/8G 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 ECC CL9

If you search for S1200KP on Crucial's site it also finds matching memory.

Ahh, going from the other direction and looking for the boards compatibility rather than the memories specification.

Thanks bremen.
