Which embarrassing clothes were you forced to wear as a child? (pre teens)

Just thinking back as you do...

Did anyone else wear one of those blue Anoraks with the orange lining and furry hood?
Were you forced to wear cords?
Were you forced to wear a shell track suit as your mum got it cheap? (I was told to iron the bottoms and melted them, awww it was a shame)

Anyone remember that brown leather satchel we got going to primary school?

Back then in our pre teens we had no concept of clothing that was only fashionable due to the fact it was expensive

I felt spoiled if a got a new jacket from The man at C&A

Parker? they were fashionable briefly.

Same with shell suits - they were the peak of cool for about 2-3 years then it flipped and they were considered the peak of lame - guess when my parents finally gave in and bought me a pair of shell suit trousers?

I think Parker was one of the brand names of Anoraks? Same as we call a Vacuum Cleaner a Hoover.
