Hi,

MY apologies for what is no doubt a real easy question to answer, but I am somewhat baffled and cannot decide.

I have recently built my first PC and I am really happy with it, however I would dearly love to be able to control the fan speed as they can be fairly loud when they are up full-tilt (was during the summer).

So, with that in mind can anyone suggest/recommend a fan controller to control the 3 stock fans the case comes with (albeit I did add an extra to the side of the case). I believe that both the top and side fans are 4 pin and the other fan is a 3 pin.

Many thanks in advance.

Depends on your budget.
You can get a cheap one which is not so awesome.
OR, You can spend a bit and get a really nice one...

Really Nice One:

It all depends on what your looking for really, some fan controllers like the first one can automatically control fans, from temp sensors, or like the one in the second link you can manually do it.

Both support just as many fans as you have... Personally I would go for the NZXT controller, it's sweet.
P.S Sorry, the first one is external, I'm sure theres a 3.5in drive bay NZXT one too on the Overclockers website.

I have the scythe kaze master

The led's on it are like the ones you get on a kitchen microwave, they can be seen from all angles. Its a pretty minor point but it means you dont have to look at your case head on to see the speeds.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your replies. I noticed there is a Scythe Kaze Master Ace and a Scythe Kaze Master.

Which is the one everyone is recommending. The Ace gets 4.5 score and the other gets 5 - but I think I prefer the look of the Ace - ARGH too many choices...

thx

Hi there,

I bought the fan controller - daft question I guess - but where do people recommend putting the temperature sensors?

Hard disk
CPU
GFX card
Motherboard

Not sure where else you would place them.

thx
