Which Far Cry? PS4

Just about to purchase a PS4 and quite fancy having a go at Far Cry.

Last time i played it was the original one on the PC.

Which one would you recommend? I heard no:4 is really good!

Far Cry is so divisive, everyone likes something different to everyone else. Far Cry Primal is my favourite but others don't like it as much as 4. I found the scenery boring in 4 but being able to fly over the landscape is pretty fun. AFAIK, it's the only Far Cry with aerial transport.

I'd say 4 > 5 > Primal but I was one of those who gave up on Primal because I just didn't gel with it.

5 has some good stuff like the companions but I thought the story was pretty weak, the constant enemy encounters were annoying and by the end I just wanted to be done with it. 4 takes itself less seriously and is more fun as a result.

3 is the better of the modern ones I'd say but if you want a current gen one the 4.

I'd say 4 as well. It was quite similar to 3 but if you haven't played 3 then you'll enjoy it. 5 is rubbish in comparison.

If you’ve got a decent hdr tv then go for 5; some of the best Gfx of the gen easily. Also I like the liked Joseph Seed and the idea of the cult it just wasn’t executed as well as it could have been and it was far too easy even on its hardest difficulty. Maybe they’ve added new difficulty level however in patches? I like all FarCry games though but never played Primal.
