I could almost write a short novel on how i have failed to get BT infinity installed, but the short of it is 4 engineers, 25 calls & still no joy. Also i am sick of dealing with indian call centres who are not briefed properly.
So we are looking for a fibre optic unlimited usage isp.
Who do you use & why, call centres must be in the uk.
I am thinking of SKY as we have our tv package with them, & have had no problems so far, have not used there call centres lately, but they used to be scotish. Please share your experiances.
The problem is two cabinets in the road, need wiring correctly, open reach say it is easy, but the indian call centre, keeps sending engineers to the house & fail to give open reach the cabinet job.

You're screwed. - Sky will still need Open Reach to fix the cabinet before they can do anything.

The only benefit is that they should be the ones booking the Open Reach job, not you.

My experience is that BT (retail) are incapable of dealing with me in a competent manner, so I will never be taking their services again.

Open reach report it to BT, & the indian call centres are supposed to give the cabinet job to them, instead they are just sending an open reach guy to my house, they cannot do the cabinet while they are here, because they have not been given the job. Pull hair out.
I was hoping Sky etc would organise the job properly, if i go with them.

I have virgin and haven't had a problem.

BT were total idiots still getting bills 4 months after I closed my account. After 6 phone call as well.

I went from BT to Virgin about six months back. I have 100 meg. With two PC's, a laptop, an iPad and my sons Xbox 360 all run with no problems what so ever. Especially the 360, on BT my son was for ever moaning about the NAT settings but there are no such issues with Virgin. It's not cheap though.

Can't comment on their customer service, not had any reason to ring them. Which is a good thing.
