I think it was 09.

Fifa 10 servers dont seem very good and kicks me out games sometimes.

How mch rank points do you have? me= 3900 skill level 26 i think

One thing i hate is when you go a goal down and the opponents keeps the ball in his own penelty box just passing from keeper to defender annoying!
 
Fifa 96 was the best as it was the first of the series to include Scottish teams. It was the start of the "Ice cream wars" between me and a pal. He played Celtic, me Rangers. Lose a goal - have a drink, crock a player - other person has a drink, get booked -have a drink. Yeah you get the idea. 14 years later and the Ice cream wars continue.

Somehow we haven't got any better at Fifa since the original came out in 93. Can't think why.

fifa 98. i remember one of the commentry lines when describing a save by my keeper

COM1: What a fantastic save!

COM2: That was teribble keeping

COM1: Its a goal kick now

COM2: A corner has been given

FIFA 2002 and FIFA 2002 World Cup were my personal best out of the franchise and simply because they were the last FIFA games I truely played and enjoyed. Loved the orchestral music in 2002 World Cup. Went onto Pro Evolution Soccer 3 shortly after this and that itself was the last football game I really played as I stopped bothering afterwards and lost the appeal of the genre.

They are my least fave. In fact I detested them, the scripting of the AI was ludicrious. I never wanted to play FIFA again after that game (and the global challenges) 6 years later I bought 08
 
only got a ps3/360 last year and 09 was the first fifa i really got into.. played the pes series on the ps2 before that though
 
Played most since 98 RTWC, my favourite has to be 05, was out during my college days and me and a friend did the whole 15 seasons. Was the best just for pure playability, since then they've tried to go far to far on it. For me it was just the best pure football game.
 
I do quite like Fifa 10. There is something about it though that doesn't capture my passion for football as much as Pro Evo did.

Maybe its because im a bit older. If i score a quality goal on Fifa i hardly move, where as on Pro Evo i would have gone mental.

The penalties on Fifa 10 are rubbish, much prefer the ones on 08.

That was awesome, I spent hours if not days playing that! Also World Cup 98 was great too.

The commentry was sublime, heh, "He couldn't hit a cows backside with a banjo."
