Which footballer has moved clubs the highest number of times?

Just looking at the image in the transfer thread about Robbie Keane and it occurred to me he has moved around quite a bit...but who has transferred the highest number of times?

iirc Kamara has played for tonnes of clubs but I'm not sure about transferred the most.

Peter Crouch has moved about a bit.

Chris Kamara has played for 11 different clubs, Keane 10 and my shout Anelka at 9.

Edit: Crouch is 10, though he also had 2 stints at 2 clubs.
Edit: Should be clear whether it's number of clubs played for, or the number of moves (including loans I suggest),

I think Crouch and Keane are good examples of players who have moved for big money. There will be loads of examples of players who have played for numerous clubs.

Romario played for 10 different clubs but moved club 16 times. He played for Vasco da Gama on 4 different occasions, Flamengo 3 times and both Valencia and Flumiense twice.

He hasn't got the record but Wayne Routledge has played 103 games for seven different clubs in the Premiership without scoring.

He was my first thought. When he played for Cambridge United he was brilliant, he just never really found that form again though.

For an outfield player I don't think he can be beaten.

Every time he's on Five Live summarising he's played for at least one of the teams!
