After upgrading to a Nvidia 1080 card I've been looking into getting a new monitor as well, however it is a big jungle out there and I'm not so keen to spend more than £500 on one. I've looked around and kinda got myself hooked on the AOC G2460PG and the AOC AGON AG241QG. The first one is only 1920x1080 resolution while the Agon is 2560x1440.

At the moment I'm just aiming at a 24'' monitor due to space limitations on and around my desk.

Or is it any other screen you would rather suggest?

Thanks Gibbo, they are very similar in price but I did lean towards the Agon mainly due to the resolution. Would I actually notice any difference in the contrast ratio between the monitors? They have very similar specs otherwise of what I can understand

Ah ok. But the Agon is a TN panel not a IPS panel? Or have I confused things again now? :D For such a small difference in price the resolution will definately be the decider. Gonna be looking so much better than my 6,5 year old Illyama monitor :P :D

I did get myself the AOC Agon 24'' monitor which arrived on Friday, and this far it is looking really great and a massive improvement to my old Illyama monitor. Just need to get used to the slightly wider monitor (my old one was a 22'' one) but I'm really looking forward to play Ghost Recon and watch my new purchased A Monster Calls bluray :)

I did get the AOC Agon AG241QG 24'' TN G-Sync 165Mhz Widescreen LED monitor. This far I haven't played much Ghost Recon as I've been on nightshift, but I think I did let the Geforce Experience optimize the game. I'm running on a 1080 card and 16gb memory. Of what I've played this far (maybe 30 mins) I must say that daaaamn the graphics are superb, really clear and sharp and just brilliant. Can't remember the FPS at the moment but I will check when I hopefully get some gaming in tomorrow after work :D
