Which G-Sync monitor?

This probably gets asked a lot so apologises if this is a repetitive question here.

I got a 980Ti in the sales and want to get the most from it by using a G-Sync monitor. I know the most popular seems to be the PG278Q, but I was curious as to what's made this seemingly the favourite?

I've seen the Dell S2716DG in the sale here and was wondering if there was much feedback on this being newer and if so is it as good as the PG278Q.

I currently use an Asus PB278QR as my main monitor and a Dell E228WFP as my second screen and I've never had a problem with either so I'm happy with either G-Sync monitor after good experiences with both manufacturers I was just wondering if one was better of it's pretty much even?

Thanks in advance.

The swift is popular as it was the earliest available gsync monitor. However its nit without its problems. The dell is pretty new to the market but so far reports on it seem favourable. Swift owner here and very pleased with it despite having a few issues when I first got it.

Ordered the Asus this afternoon, should arrive later in the week.
TN model or the new IPS variant mate? Gotta say I've been impressed with gsync, doubt I could go back to 60Hz again too. 980ti copes very nicely with 2560x1440.

The TN model, should go nicely with my 980ti as well, also bought the bundle deal to along with it :)

Nice selection of parts. The X99 bundle was incredible value for money. I'm finding the 5820k to be great for games, despite being slower clocked than my old 4790k. Much cooler too.

I noticed that too, I just need to sort my overclock out when I get some time :)

I assumed it was more about timing with the ROG than anything else.

Really don't know which to get, I'm useless when there's a decision to be made and it's close.

Same, only messed about with a quick n dirty 4.5ghz oc. Not fully tested yet.

Id go fir whatever one is the cheapest at the time your ordering. Dell though going by reports have a much better after sales service than Asus.

The TN version of the Swift also gives you 3D Vision support, unlike the IPS version. It's nice, although the monitors have a history of dying on me :/
