I've been slacking and havn't played any of these and wondering what people think I should go for first so I came up with a list :)

Star Wars The Force Unleashed

Burnout Paradise The Ultimate Box

Red Faction Guerrilla

X3 Gold Edition

Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition

Resident Evil 5

Batman: Arkham Asylum

Warhammer 40 000 Dawn of War II

STALKER (any)

Metro 2033

Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes From Liberty City

Alpha Protocol

burnout is crap imo i played it for 30minutes and uninstalled.

alpha protocol is suposed to have crap combat but a good story

I would narrow it down to : FO3 , Resi 5 , Stalker and Metro... but that's just me. I'd say Resi 5 is the weaker titles out of those. Depends what preferences you have etc.

Fallout / Batman and Alpha Protocol. I really enjoyed AP just because it was something vastly different and the storyline was superb. I'd say if you can get it @ £10 then it's a bargain. Batman was epically good, again the type of game we don't normally see on a PC.

Fallout 3 though I have completed several times (main storyline) and I've done the addons as well - it's a massive game and really good fun. It takes an age to complete as well (well if you're inquisitive it does as you see something in the distance and wander over to find what it is!)

Burnout Paradise The Ultimate Box -
Fantastic fun arcade racer, well worth the cash for a free roam crazy stunt driving game that runs on low spec PC's (has MP modes)

X3 Gold Edition -
Steep learning curve but the best looking and most engrossing 'elite' type game out there !! well worth the perseverance !!

Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition -
RPG at its best, hours of exploration

Warhammer 40 000 Dawn of War II -
Similar to Company of Heroes, superb gfx and superb RTS mayhem

From your list those are the must have games and can all be had on the cheap.

Considering i'm a die hard Star Wars fan, i would go for The Force Unleashed...but...Fallout 3 is an experience different from any other game and i recommend trying that out.

You may as well pick up Jedi Outcast instead of playing The Force Unleashed, it's miles better.

Do Batman first, as it's relatively short, and then you're ready to have a crack at another game. If you start with FO3, in a few month's time you'll still not have completed any of the games on your list!

Out of those I'd be getting Burnout & FO3

Both of them are free roaming open games which do not send you down a pre-programmed path.

With Burnout you'll get hours driving around looking for stuff and shed loads of racing and crashing if you want to...

With fallout 3 you'll get a stonking storyline, a massive world to explore and a bit of gunplay too..!!

Star Wars The Force Unleashed

Low res texture console port, no idea how this games has such a large install.

Burnout Paradise The Ultimate Box

Not as good as the console versions.

Red Faction Guerrilla

Not played it

X3 Gold Edition

Not played it

Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition

Just got this, but from all accounts it'll take ages to complete.

Resident Evil 5

Excellent console port, excellent controls using 360 gamepad.

Batman: Arkham Asylum

Fantastic game. Game of last year. Worth every penny

Warhammer 40 000 Dawn of War II

not played it

STALKER (any)

Fantastic story I felt, tricky controls lots to do

Metro 2033

Fantastic visuals, needs good hardware to run at full pelt, excellent story short but some like it, some hate it.

Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes From Liberty City

More of the same, as with all GT games, runs poorly on PC though. Badly optimised for PC hardware. Patch meant to fix it.

Alpha Protocol

Not played it.

my recommendations...

Batman Arkham...!! Fantastic game, runs well on most hardware, awesome voice acting superb story. Lots to do, bit short but still a fantastic well made and slick game.
