Now that I've done all the fancypants camos on CoD, I need something else to play. I'm thinking something a bit more chill, as I'm also sick of losing games in CoD because my team are too busy eating crayons and licking windows.

Never played any of these, however assume they're all the latest remastered jobbies:

Fallout 4
Oblivion
Skyrim
The Last of Us (I'm like an hour in to this, starting to pick up, but not sure I'm in the right "phase" to play it).

Go!

All of those are great choices...
Definitely see TLOU through, it is one of the best games ever made on so many levels, and I really enjoyed the sequel - regarding that, just play it, don't go listening to opposing opinions, you'll just placebo put yourself off!
Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection, is a very good choice as is the 4th game, which is near perfect!

I recently replayed Resident Evil Code Veronica X on PS2 and finally finished the rest of it after 3 times trying to and the last time throwing in the towel - the airplane boss with hardly any inventory, if you know you know ;)
Replayed both the Resident Evil Revelations after that, then on Thursday evening I managed to finish my 2 part playthrough of Resident Evil 3 Nemesis on the PS1 for the second time in 26 years, and today I'm currently playing Dino Crisis on the PS1 for the second time in 25 years - had both at release, speaking about time/age, it's mad to think the Megadrive is 37 years old now as well!

Skyrim is better than fallout 4 or oblivion in my opinion. Never played last of us
I found Skyrim to be seriously lacking in the plot department, and the ending was very underwhelming IMHO... FO4 had a fair whack of dialogue/people you cared about/things going on to get absorbed into, and a better ending.
Haven't played Oblivion but from how dense it looked plot wise on the original, I probably wont play the remake to be honest.

Can't get more chill than Snowrunner imo... deffo a turn it on and chill type of game.

Alien Isolation is immense, if you liked the first films, then you'll cream playing that - not overly chill mind you lol, the Alien can be a persistent bugger! There's one point in the game where there is no Alien around and you can explore the ship - that bit is pretty chill.

TLOU is worth clocking, certainly the best in the series for story and characters - and a standout PS3 title! All the Uncharted games are also worth a couple of play troughs too - I'm long overdue a replay, so might have a dabble.

funnily enough, I've been considering these - the PS3 versions of these (aside from Fallout 4 which was later) are dirt cheap now, a very easy way to try them out for less than the cost of a pint

TLOU costs £5 at a popular highstreet reseller and Skyrim + Oblivion £1.50 each... complete no brainer to just get all three and try them

I think they're included in the PS+ pass too.

Yeah Alien Isolation is perfection, I couldn't understand the hate it got, I genuinely think it was just too hard for people - it literally recommends you to play on a harder difficultly from the start so the AI is more relentless!
Talking of which, have you ever watched the documentary on how the Alien works, it's very impressive.
I enjoyed the DLC too!
To say that I'm excited for the sequel, would be putting it mildly!

TLOU is a 10/10 for me, as is the sequel, I don't care if people were annoyed that it didn't end 'the way they wanted' it's not meant to be a story about dancing off into the sunset smiling, the pain is what makes it such a powerful, draining, upsetting experience. I genuinely don't think we'll see such a raw and savage game/plot like that again, not with the way things are going, it wont be long be censorship tries to surface again :(
Seems like it's TLOU then, cheers folks :D
You will NOT regret this!

Did you guys play it on PS3 - it's cheap as chips on there now... or would it be worth spending more to get the PC version? (I never got round to getting a PS4/5)

I got it in the PS+ pass thingy I think. I'd do the remaster on PC if I were you, the graphical updates are worth it from what I've seen.

First time I ever played it was the PS4 remastered version, was awesome for it's time but you really owe it to yourself to play it on the PC if you have the option, it's pretty cheap now too, and the sequel was a bargain versus the price of the original.

I wouldn't bother with the 30fps PS3 version, great for it's time and all that, but 60fps on the PS4 remaster is a game changer (you can still play in 30fps if you desire it has both options), as is the remake on the PS5/PC, so I'd say PC for you if you don't have PS4/5, I'm pretty sure you could pick up a PS4 for £50 or less these days for an original non slim/pro model? Then you could go down the rabbit hole of PS4 games such as The Nathan Drake Collection and Uncharted 4 etc etc...

I suppose it boils down to, wether you'd rather spend £40-50 on TLOU PC remake, or for a cheap PS4 and around £10-15 for the remastered PS4 version of TLOU?
