Which game?

1. Yea they removed the chip that emulated PS2 games so its impossible to play them.
2. Yea WiFi is built-in.
3. You will be able to play on the UK PSN no problems, id register US aswell to take advantage of earlier release dates etc for PSN content.

1. Correct, You won't be able to play PS2 games on it, PS1 games however should work fine.
2. It has built in wireless so your good to go.
3. Just create a standard UK account, rock band will still work and you can create another USA or JAP account later as you wish.
 
Sorry for the double post, but I have a little update...
Just went down to my store and it seems they have either:

PS3 + Fifa 08 = £299.99
OR
PS3 + Selected Game* = £319.99
OR
PS3 + Selected Game* + Any Blu Ray + Extra Controller = £339.99

*Games available: Haze, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank

I was going to go for the £299.99 package but I wasn't sure if any of the other games were worth shelling our £20 more...
What shall I go for?
 
Last offer seems the best really, no doubt you'll buy a remote and controller (= £50) later on and you get the more expensive game.

Fifa is only around £25 now.
 
I'd say uncharted I'm loving it really good game and I haven't seen it on sale for less than £31 new, Haze isn't out yet is it? Ratchet & Clank is meant to be good but not everyones cup of tea
 
dude download the demo of uncharted before buying it. Dont expect much more of it apart from the demo and you might like it.

In fact gonna have to knock it off my top 5 games list of this year for ps3..

Might like it? Fair enough if you didn't enjoy it, but the general consensus is that it is a very good game.

I'd say you would be in the extreme minority if you wouldn't even put it in your top 5 PS3 games this year.
 
because it tries to do everything great but does none of the bits great only ok. (platform-shooter-puzzle)

I remember ages ago playing Prince of Persia: The two thrones. Excellent platform mechanics and fighting which requires more than pressing one button and fighting multiple opponents.

Bare in mind though the drag factor of the fps aspect to the shooting pulls it down in the score stakes with me.
 
Another quick PS3 question...
I heard that it only comes with the normal component cables and not HDMI... does this mean I will need to spend more cash to buy another cable to get the games in HD?
