Hey,

I want to get a controller to play steam games with.
I want to get a good one that'll last, should I get:

Xbox 360 wired controller.
Razer Sabertooth.

Or should I hold on till the Xbox one controller is supported?

I use an Xbox 360 pad and have got no complaints. Most games (especially multiformat) have a preset for it too, so no mucking about with button maps etc.

Wireless 360 controller + play and charge kit so you can recharge it.

Hmm I didn't want to go down the wireless route, then you need the receiver as a separate thing and the rechargeable battery eventually goes so it's either but yet another or plug it in all the time so might as well be wired

If you have a PS3, use your DS3 with MotionInJoy. Otherwise wait till next year for the XBone controller, and perhaps even see how the DS4 pans out. I have seen people with PS4 saying their DS4's are plug and play with no emulation.

No, PS3 unfortunately, Don't really want to wait.

From what people have said I'll probably just grab a 360 controller, as nice as the sabertooth looks, that comment about weight is concerning, probably just stick to the cheaper option.

I got the Wired 360 Controller, most games has it already presetted so I'd go for that, the Wireless would be nice if you just want to lay back on the bed and stream your PC to your big Screen :D

+1 for the Xbox 360 controller. 1 issue with the wireless one is that in some games if it disconnects then you need to restart the game to get the controller to work again. BF4 for example will not see the controller after a reconnect. You need a game restart to get it going again

xbox 360 controller has served me well over the years... look forward to replacing it with the xbox one controller once ms sort their drivers out!
