Hi last time I played a game was c&c AofE and ghost recon (original) types, so son gave me his old rig and I want to get back into pc gaming and I’m too old and slow for any of these run around all over the place type games at full speed, so what can I try that you would recommend?
Thanks

so if you like things to be slow paced have you considered turn based games like XCOM 1 / 2 or one of the civilization games?

there are actually quite a lot of turn based games which could be right up your street.

Can I suggest posting the specification of the computer so we can gauge the games it will play?

Another thumbs up for Civilization games though.

Based on your historic games:

X-com Enemy Unknown
Into the breach (should run on almost anything)
Company of Heroes
2 Point Hospital

I've been playing loads of Transport Fever recently, which is great if you remember Transport Tycoon Deluxe.
I also highly recommend Subnautica which is currently free from the Epic Games store. Fantastic, relaxing (mostly... wait until you reach those depths ) ocean exploration and survival game.

subnautica is amazing, i would give my left nut for social co-op in that game but AFAIK that is not on the cards :(
