At the moment im playing on a £25 microsoft mouse and keyboard set, its horrible.
I was thinking of getting a Razer Mamba and Razer Lycosa as they both look the mutts BUT now they are raising their prices as their stuff has more L.E.D's than everyone else.

So any suggestions would be welcome.

Mice: MX518, G400 by Logitech. The Razer Deathadder is an awesome mouse (I use one and it's quality) Microsoft Intelli 3.0 or 1.0

There are quite a few more but those are the most popular and I would say that the Intelli/Deathadder are the best two bt Logitech have got an amazing returns service.

Keyboards: I have a Razer Lycosa and I loved it, I just got the Blackwidow because it is mechanical. Other are: Logitech G15, Microsoft Sidewinder X6 and X4 (I think the X4 is preferred generally).

Again there are more but you're not going wrong with any of the above.

My personal recommendation would be:

Razer Lycosa + Deathadder - great performers, yes they're quite expensive, I've had no probs and they do look sleek if that matters at all or not is up to you.

GZA

I find that keyboards+Mice are trial and error but tbh i have never bought a mouse or board i have not liked. I have had a few over the years and am now using a Steelseries Xai mouse and a Sidewinder keyboard.

Have a look around maybe try a few in shops if you can.

Razer Mamba and Razer Lycosa are both great anyway :P

Depends on the way you grip your mouse but check out the Mionix Naos or the cheaper Qpad 5K which appear to have nearly the same shape.

buy before the prices go up?

logitech stuff is usualy better value for money and the lycosa is overpriced for what it is anyway (got my other half one last christmas)

Siderwinder X4 and Logitech G400, great combo, sitting infront of me as we speak. :)

Quick question thats annoying me about the X4, in the pictures it has the \| key above a rectangle enter, where as i thought the UK layout was the big enter key, also the " and @ is swapped and i see no £ key. Am i being stupid or is my keyboard wrong :P

Good advice except - I'd list the MS Wheel Mouse Optical 1.1a (old school but brilliant for medium sensitivity players) instead of the intelli mice which are generally naff for gaming and IMO the MS X4/5/6 series aren't that hot either.

Keyboard wise depends if you want lots of macros or not, personally I'd rather a good mechanical keyboard - tho they are far from cheap - you'd need to work out which type of mechanical switch worked best for you tho really.
