I use a grip that is mixed between the claw and palm grips, looks mostly like palm, but plays more like claw, so for the most part it's a claw grip.

I used to have the Razer Copperhead, had no problems with it, sold it to my brother, I recently built myself a new computer so I just bought the Roccat Kova, which looks good, feels ok, you cannot use any of the buttons for macros, I really only bought the mouse because it had big buttons, and it said 'fully customizable' yet you cannot customize it other than LED colour and pulse...

So I purchased the G9x after using a friends G9, only to find that the G9x won't match my black desk and computer set, as it feels like being silver/grey on the wide grip, so after returning 2 G9x's and phoning logitech to find out you cannot get a black one anymore, they just advertise it in black, everywhere.. I considered the Razer Imperator, only to see people complaining about it's laser.

Only options I can think of at this time are G9 or G9x with a custom grip, which probably isn't all that good and not many options for it.

Any suggestions?

I really just don't have that much room to move the mouse at the moment, I move quickly and I think any DPi between about 1200 and 2500 will be ok, never needed to lower the copperhead from 2000dpi, but this roccat kova I got here... who knows what DPi it's on..

I put an order in for the MX518, £25 delivered, but I will be interested in other mice when and if the G9x actually comes in black or if the Cyborg R.A.T. 9 or 7 gets some good reviews, until then I'll likely stick to this cheaper and problemless logitech

Although this mouse isn't bad, I don't think it is as good as the amount of people singing praises..

Good things mainly are the looks, the grip, shape, size, buttons on the left, good accuracy optics and that the mouse doesn't move to a side when you click to shoot.

Down sides are the 8ms response time over 1ms response time is quite noticeable to me, 1800DPi isn't that high for full HD gaming, there is nowhere to put my pinky, so it's on the mousemat, the scroll wheel is a little small and soft to click, but not a big deal.

At this point I am thinking the old copperhead I had was slightly better than this except for reachability of the left buttons and the DPi buttons are easier on the Logitech too, although it looks like I will be keeping it highest DPi and even up the windows sensitivity a little unless I just get used to it.

Still prefer it over the Roccat, but will be keeping my eyes open for the other mice like those insane looking Cyborg R.A.T.s.

I think customer service isn't that amazing, maybe the warranties are.. I called them to ask about the G9x before and the guy hardly knew what I was talking about, and spoke the worst English I ever heard, he had to repeat it over and over for me to understand half of what he was saying. In the end he couldn't help me.

Seems you aren't a minority according to the other replies..

A higher DPi will move across more pixels on the screen compared to lower, so although both are as accurate, it is hard to have precise aims with a high DPi because it moves quite a lot, I play shooter games and CSS online a lot with full HD, n I don't use a sniper very much, I notice in games when you zoom in using a sniper or virtually any weapon on Crysis then it lowers your sensitivity anyway.

The Copperhead I had my brother still uses, must be about 3-4 years old now, only thing I disliked about the build is that you could lift the buttons up.

I'm not complaining about this mouse, I just did a quick gungame to test and won, but I do need to get used to it.
