Now my question is basically, is there any better combo I could have done for around the £500 mark or less that is best "value gaming system".

I have my own Sata II hd along with dvd drive, why i didnt include them on the custom build.

Cheers,

Get paid end of week so looking at a build for around £550, so been researching on forums what to get. might be able to go to £580 at a push if it means better performance. Hoping the system i spec'd will overclock nicely and have the option of cross firing another card in the future?

I play a few games at the moment at 1440x900 as the tv i play on only goes up to that res. Already got a sata 2 drive and would upgrade that in future with a F3 samsung spinpoint. Need a new dvd rw as my current one has died its death.

Want to play Modern Warfare 2 , wow (should run well) , any new games coming out reasonably well at max res my "tv" can handle.

My build is looking like its gonna be the following:

Just a little help tweaking it to get the best value and performance for my money :) Im upgrading from a P4 3.0 with a hd 3650 agp card >.< and 2gb DDR1 ram. So obviously im gonna see a huge performance upgrade in my games no matter what i choose.

thanks for advise on PSU and Board, yeah I was thinking that, i could add another 5770 card in the future.

Hmm £600 Quid, a damn nice machine though. Ill see what I can afford on friday ;)

If I had to skimp on anything to bring price down, I suppose I could forget about the Thermal compound, extra fan and water cooling block until next month.

Bring it down to a nice £519 still
