Which Geforce Graphics Card should i go for ?

If Nvidia and its partners dropped the price of the 760 to 180-190 it would effectively make every AMD cardfrom the 7850 to the 7970 unsellable at there current prices. I doubt we will see that any time soon though.
I'm not convinced that the current average £215+ price is because of Nvidia and partners, considering EVGA themselves is selling their 760 OC with blower cooler and full length PCB for just 209.99 euro...

Most likely it is because of the usual "UK premium".

THIS IS WHAT I ORDERED :

BUT IF THE 670 IS FASTER AT STOCK ITS ONLY £25 DIFFERENCE FOR:
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-017-KF

is it worth swapping ? i plan on running games on 2560x1600, i like the idea of being faster at sctock but its dependant on how easy it is to overclock the card and how much it can be done by...i just sold a 7850 so want to see the biggest difference possible really

The MSI one is now out of stock, so you'd have to get the KFA. I have the KFA and it's been fine, and for the record mine never gets "very loud"".

Shame you missed the MSI one though as you could have got £30 cashback as well.

The 760 is just a slightly cut down 670 with higher clocks. The 670 is definitely the better card of the two but is slightly more expensive. However, both are considerably faster than your old 7850 so either will be good for you.

No matter now, but out of those two I probably would have stayed with the 760 due to, I believe, it having a better cooler. Regardless, both are good products. Post back your thoughts. :)

+1

When talking performance between the 760 and 670 your splitting hairs, you should have got the KFA 760 at £215 which you originally bought. Better cooler, better boost speeds and much better for overclocking.

Either will do a good job at 1440p so no problems. Although you won't be able to max out stuff like crysis 3 and metro LL, you will still be able to use high settings.

The issue is, they're not going to have much longevity due to your res of 2560x1440 due to the 2GB RAM and limiting 256 bit memory bus.

Really ? I currently have the 7850 and it runs crysis 3 pretty high in 2560 and considering the 670 is upposed to be a lot faster any improvement can only be a plua surely ?

Oh my just came back to this thread. I think it was already said that the 670 was faster at stock but if you look at the link I provided you can see the difference is minimal. Also it was already stated that the 760 will clock better ;-)

Anyway I hope you enjoy your purchase mate

its ok haha, ive seen some benchmarks and the 670 does seem to give some very noticable FPS over the 760 and as ive heard both cards are loud enough (unless idle) i dont want to be overclocking it really as it will be even louder so im happy with my choice :)

be interesting to see how loud they are compared to my 7850 as its pretty damn quiet even during battlefield 3 on full whack !
