Need serious help as Im getting a bit fed up of crappy gfx.

Youll prolly laugh when you read the specs of my system but I cant see which way to go atm. Ive got a budget of around £200 and I want better gfx.

At the moment Im running :

AMD 6400 X2 Black Edition
Foxconn C51XEM2AA Mobo
4 GB of Corsair XMS2 DDR2
3 x 250 GB SATA 2 (Raid)
and....
2 x 8500GTs in SLI

Playing COD4 in 1440x900 Im only getting 15-20FPS with normal settings

Which card should I go for to replace both cards?

Going by what i seen in the Tweaktown benchmark, i would still go with the 8800GT. The new GTS will be around £50-£100 (guessing) more than the GT for 2fps difference in Crysis at 1280x1024. The 8800GT is an excellent card and should last until in the new 9800's come out and beyond that.

Why would anyone laugh at your specs?

The new 8800GTS

Indeed, those specs look fine to me mate :)
A fellow AMDer so I like you already :D
I'm not sure what the 8500s are like but yes that seems low FPS?

I'd go for the 8800GT tbh, depends on pricing of the new rev GTS, but there doesn't seem to be much difference at all between them in the new benchmarks that have been released.

I have 2x 8800GTs in SLI and run COD4 on max settings 1280x1024 and get over 100FPS average. :D The 8800GT is a great card, just watch for cooling issues if you overclock it; I've peaked at 93'C, but have a rubbish case.

I fail to see the wisdom is called the new card by nvidia a 8800 gts. Is this to confuse less whiley buyers or so shops can shift their old stock? Perhaps they should have called it an 8900?
