which gfx card ?

i am thinking of replacing my crossfired 5770's with a single gfx card , every driver seems to lower the fps in games for some reason . playing starcraft 2 atm and the fps dip to the mid 20's , is it worth replacing the 5770's with a single card (£200 mark) ? . when crossfire is working as it should it is great , on the other hand when it's not it is a pain in the rear . also why does sc2 run so bad on ati based cards (fps wise) , in farcry2 i get stutter when AA is set to anything above x2 and stalker based games pause a lot also

I went from 2 X 5770CF to a 5850 Toxic and have been very happy with performance. The CF5770 is obviously quicker but the 5850 is cooler, quieter and powerful enough for most games. Have stuck with 10.4 drivers as everything since have been flakey. I am actually considering selling my 5850 Toxic and getting a 460GTX as I'm fed up with Ati's flakey and inconsistent drivers.

From my short time having an GTX 470, I can recommended Zotac. However this 460 is currently on special offer. It's just down to personal preference which 460 to get really imo.

i just want a gfx card that does not dip to 14 fps in sc2 at 1680x1050 or 11fps at 1920x1080

GTX 460 is great card, I'm concidering to buy two for SLI.

well make sure sli is working in sc2 , i know crossfire is not working as it should in sc2 for me
