I want to buy a Gigabyte gtx 970 but I'm not sure about which model to buy. Should I get the G1 gaming or should I get the non G1 gaming? How much different would they be performance wise? And does the windforce logo light up on the non G1?
Thanks

On Gigabyte's website, it says that you need a 550W PSU. I thought that these GPU's only need a 450W PSU. I have a Superflower Golden Green 550W PSU. Will it be enough power?
Thanks

Why bother upgrading if you have a 290? If I were you I'd definitely hold out till 20nm cards finally hit the market. Your GPU will probably still be able to play pretty much everything comfortably for quite some time.

I'm also thinking about the GTX 970 but I only have a measly 7850, so the upgrade makes a lot more sense. I really want to wait it out though as I'm curious how the new cards will perform but there are just too many games I can't play with decent details (which shouldn't be the case for you).

I'm planning to sell my 290 for £180. I have other components to sell too. All of those and the 290 add up to £500 and I have £290 so i'll have £790. This will be well enough for the 970, gigabyte mobo and 4790K.
