Just built my bro a new system, which includes a Asuus gtx 560Ti gpu.
Well happy with it.
My system has a Zotac gtx570 in it.
Looking at upgrading my sons system and putting in a new gpu in.
Either
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6950 "Dual Fan Edition" 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with FREE Deus Ex PC Game £209.99 inc VAT
or
Asus GeForce GTX 560Ti DirectCU II TOP 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-£179.99 inc VAT
or
MSI GeForce GTX 560Ti OC Twin FrozR II 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £199.99 inc VAT
System at present -
AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition "125W Edition" 3.20GHz - stock settings at the minute.
Asus M4A78LT-M 760G (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard
OCZ Special OPS 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
PNY gtx 550Ti gpu
Ocz 700w psu
sony 17" monitor
I now have windows7 64 bit for it so have ordered
G.Skill RipJawsX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
Im looking to get either a
BenQ G2222HDL 21.5" Widescreen LED Monitor
or something like a
IIyama Prolite E2473HDS 24" Widescreen LED Monitor
Will the motherboard and processor be any good for games like BF3, will start to overclock it .
Will the motherboard be good for any of these gpu's.
Both monitors are 1920 x 1080 res, I like playing Bf3 at around 50-60+fps on my system. If I go for the Gtx560ti or the ATi 6950 will the rest of the system be able to handle it.
Does the extra 1024mb memory on 2 of the gpu's make a big difference in BF3.
Is the extra for the 6950 worth it for this system, I believe that the saphire one has a easy unlock switch to get it to a 6970 level.
That is my max limit cost wise.
If the rest of the system will make the upgrade to these gpu's worthless are ther any other suggestions for Gpu's that are cheaper?
I wont be upgrading this system for a few years after this.
Thanks for any advice as always, you never let me down.
