Which GPU cooler for 7970?

I got a VTX3D 7970 and it's the only noisy component in my pc. It's overclocking is restricted by the cooling it has currently too. Will throttle at 82c. Average gaming temps are 65-70.

Want to find a worthwhile cooler and willing to pay up to £70.

Been looking at this, paired with some attractive fans to compliment my rig. Not sure if it will fit that well with my Audigy 2ZS. Is it a triple or quad slot cooler with the fans installed? I'm thinking it will only just fit, the fans will be trying to draw air off my sound card.

Can't seem to find many other air options, I don't like the Alphenfohn vga cooler, looks horrible with fans mounted.

The fans run through the onboard fan header so they can ramp up/down automatically or manually set in CCC/AB.

If you decide to get one, make sure you get some Akasa thermal tape though as I don't rate the glue that comes with it.

Hadn't considered that one, I forgot about it as it's been around so long. Does look kind of ideal actually. Keeps the price down too, how loud is it during gaming use?

I've got a VTX and was thinking about putting it underwater but the costs would be more than the card itself so this is pretty good. What's the cooling like when the card is overclocked to 1.2v+ anyone know?

I'm put off by the 92mm fans, but if it's quiet I'll probs get it. Seem's quite loud in youtube videos but they aren't very helpful. Atleast with the Accelero you can crossfire quite easily.

I am tempted to get a H80 and some ramsinks, not sure if it would reach to the top front of my arc midi, there is a 120mm fan mount there, but may not be enough space for it gonna measure up. Is almost passive cooling enough for the vram?

I have about 11 CM space in my 5.25" bays so it will fit, may be a bit tight though hehe.

Not sure if it will be long enough to reach from 7970 to drive bays around my D14.

edit: Changed my mind about H80. Either going to get an air cooler or put the money towards a watercooling loop.

Also the Accelero looks a bit fiddly to install, I don't like those small spacers on the heatsink bracket...
